The idea of establishing Rumah Indonesia was born from the minds of five Indonesian women for the purpose of inculcating the growing population of Indonesian children born overseas with real character values in accordance with the traditions and customs of Indonesian culture.
RUMAH INDONESIA didirikan oleh lima perempuan Indonesia yang tinggal di Amerika Serikat.

Livia Iskandar![]() Livia Iskandar adalah psikolog dari Universitas Indonesia. Master dalam bilang Psikologi Konseling dari City University, London, Inggris. Doktor dalam bidang kesehatan masyarakat dari Universitas Hawaii di Manoa, Honolulu, Amerika Serikat.

Livia Iskandar is a psychologist from the University of Indonesia. She obtained her Masters in Counseling Psychology from City University in London, England. She received her Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Hawaii in Manoa, Honolulu, USA.

Tricia Sumarijanto![]() Tricia Sumarijanto, identik dengan ‘Bu Guru’ angklung di kalangan masyarakat Washington DC. Kecintaan terhadap musik dan anak-anak telah dimulainya sejak SMA sebagai guru organ anak-anak TK. Cita-citanya menjadi guru sejak kecil, akhirnya terwujud di Amerika Serikat ketika seseorang melihat Tricia bermain piano dan memintanya mengajar angklung. Inilah titik awal keterlibatan Tricia secara penuh di dunia angklung di Amerika Serikat.

Tricia Sumarijanto is known as ‘Bu Guru’ (Miss Teacher) of angklung in Washington, D.C. Her love of music and children began during high school when she taught kindergartners how to play the organ. Her childhood goal was to become a teacher as an adult; we can see that she has realized her dream as she now teaches piano and angklung in the Washington D.C. area.

Wita Pradonggo![]() Wita Pradonggo adalah seorang guru bahasa Indonesia di Amerika Serikat yang khusus mengajar para diplomat asing yang akan dikirim bertugas ke Indonesia. Sejak tahun 2010, Wita bekerja di Diplomatic Language Services untuk mengajar siswa dari USAID, Department Pertanian, Departemen Pertahanan, Departemen Perdagangan dan sejumlah institusi pemerintah Amerika Serikat lainnya.

Wita Pradonggo is an Indonesian language teacher in the United States who specializes in teaching foreign diplomats who are slated to be stationed in Indonesia. Since 2010, Wita has been working for the Diplomatic Language Services teaching students from USAID, the Department of Agriculture, Department of Defense, Department of Commerce and a number of other U.S. government agencies.

Ifa H. Misbach![]() Ifa H. Misbach adalah dosen psikologi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Ifa memperoleh gelar psikolog dari Universitas Padjadjaran. Pada tahun 2013, Ifa menyelesaikan master di bidang Educational Psychology di University of Connecticut, Amerika Serikat, melalui program beasiswa PRESTASI-USAID.

Ifa H. Misbach is a lecturer in psychology at the University of Indonesian Education. Ifa earned a Psychology degree from the University of Padjdjaran. In 2010, Ifa obtained a master scholarship through the ACHIEVEMENT-USAID program for the field of Educational Psychology at the University of Connecticut, USA.

Debbie Sumual-Patlis![]() Debbie Sumual-Patlis adalah jurnalis di Voice of America di Washington DC sejak tahun 2006. Karir jurnalisnya diawali menjadi penulis naskah di Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI) dari tahun 1996-2000. Debby kemudian menjadi editor di majalah Her World Indonesia di tahun 2000-2004.

Debbie Sumual-Patlis has been a journalist at Voice of America in Washington DC since 2006. Her career as a journalist began at Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI), where she was a script writer from 1996-2000. Debby later became editor of the magazine Her World Indonesia from 2000-2004.
